Shelly was trapped in a warehouse in Webster back in xxxx. She is a very skiddish cat as she was semi-feral when she came to us. With time, love, and patience though she comes around to the people who put in extra effort to get to know her. She is capable of being pet, but she runs and hides until she feels comfortable coming out at her own pace. She is a very low-maintenance, very independent cat who tries to like people but since so few people have shown interest in her since she came to us in xxxx,she more or less keeps to herself. As with others, cats like this tend to come out with a little food bribery and tend to stick around for a while after then, so we feel that with a quiet home and someone willing to put in the effort to earn her trust, she'll eventually come out of her shell.
Shelly is a beautiful dilute calico that gets along great with other cats, and her best friend here is Birdie, the tiny black female also listed for adoption. They run and play together, groom each other, and hold tails.
